What this site does with information about you. Not much: no ads, no selling, no profiles.

Who’s responsible

I am: Ryan Harricharan, running this site through RH Design, my independent practice. Write to me at [email protected] about anything on this page.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Cloudflare (Cloudflare Pages). Every visit passes through Cloudflare’s network, which processes your IP address, browser and the page you asked for, to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. I don’t keep access logs.

The contact form, and email

When you send the contact form I receive what you typed: what you need, your name, your email address and your message, along with the country your connection comes from.

It passes through a Cloudflare Function on this site to Web3Forms, which delivers it to my inbox. My inbox is Gmail (Google). Email you send me directly reaches me the same way, and booking a call goes through Cal.com under its own policy.

I use it to reply to you and to talk about the work, and nothing else: no mailing lists, no sharing. I keep it as long as the conversation and any work that comes of it need, and delete it sooner if you ask.

Spam is kept out with a hidden field and a minimum fill time. There’s no CAPTCHA and no tracking.

Analytics

I use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages get read and where visitors come from. Google receives the page, the referring site, your browser and an approximate location, and sets its own cookies (_ga and _ga_*) to tell visits apart. It never sees what you type into the forms.

The provider is Google, and data may be transferred to the US. You can turn it off below at any time.

Analytics in this browser: on.

Turning it off is remembered in this browser. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, Analytics stays off.

Other sites’ content

Links to Cal.com, LinkedIn and Awwwards are plain links: nothing is sent to them until you click.

Kept in your browser

The site itself sets no cookies. It keeps a few settings in your browser’s session storage, which clears when you close the tab: whether you’ve seen the opening animation (visited), whether the side menu is open (nav-collapsed), your project filter (project-filter) and the kind of page you were last on, for transitions (page-kind).

Two more. Turning Analytics off is remembered in local storage (analytics-off). Unlocking a password-protected case study sets one cookie (__Host-case_access) that lasts while you move between case studies, and ends when you leave them, reload or close the browser. Clearing your browser’s site data removes them all.

Your rights

You can ask me for a copy of the data I hold about you, and to correct it, delete it, restrict its use or hand it over in a portable form. You can also object to my using it. Write to [email protected].

You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the one where you live or work. There’s no automated decision-making on this site, and I don’t sell or share your data with anyone beyond the providers named here.

Changes

If the site starts doing something new with your data, this page changes first, with a new date at the top.
